Year 2 Canberra Landmarks & Memorial Excursion

Various Canberra Landmarks & Memorials

Year 2 students from both CGS Campuses will explore landmarks and memorials throughout Canberra in connection with our Where We Are in Place and Time unit. Our central theme is 'traces of the past help us connect'.

Buses will depart school at 9:15 am, travelling to Stromlo Forest Park Memorial, then to the lake foreshore near the International Flag display. Students will walk to the National Carillon on the northern side, before being collected by bus to visit sites of remembrance along Anzac Avenue.

Buses will arrive back at school at 2:30 pm.

Students are to wear PE uniform.

Students must bring a small bag containing morning tea, lunch, hat, water bottle, and sunscreen.
