 CGS Year 11 Academic Expo

Dear parents and guardians of Year 11 2022

The Academic Expo provides the opportunity to hear more about the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), the NSW Higher School Certificate (HSC), and the Alternative Pathways Programme. There will also the chance to explore all subjects on offer.

Schedule:

Session 1Garnsey, Garran and Hay Houses

·         5:15pm sharp - Students and parents to arrive to the Tim Murray Theatre where they will be provided with a student mentor for the evening.

·         5:30 pm - Presentation from the Director of Academic Education, Ms Joanna Leaman, Assistant Director of Academic Education (HSC and non-ATAR), Mark Perkins and IB Diploma Programme Coordinator, Graham Maltby

·         5:45pm - Families will move to The Snow Centre for an opportunity to talk with department staff and students about subjects and pathways.

Session 2Burgmann, Eddison, Edwards and Jones Houses

·         6:00pm sharp - Students and parents to arrive to the Tim Murray Theatre where they will be provided with a student mentor for the evening.

·         6:15pm - Presentation from the Director of Academic Education, Ms Joanna Leaman, Assistant Director of Academic Education (HSC and non-ATAR), Mark Perkins and IB Diploma Programme Coordinator, Graham Maltby

·         6:30pm - Families will move to The Snow Centre for an opportunity to talk with department staff and students about subjects and pathways.

Session 3Middleton, Blaxland and Sheaffe Houses

·         6:45pm sharp - Students and parents to arrive to the Tim Murray Theatre where they will be provided with a student mentor for the evening.

·         7:00pm - Presentation from the Director of Academic Education, Ms Joanna Leaman, Assistant Director of Academic Education (HSC and non-ATAR), Mark Perkins and IB Diploma Programme Coordinator, Graham Maltby

·         7:15pm - Families will move to The Snow Centre for an opportunity to talk with department staff and students about subjects and pathways.

Light refreshments and tea/coffee will also be available.

There will also be stalls providing information relating to Careers and University Entrance Information.
