Schools choose qualifiers from their own carnival or swimmers who are competitive in time to compete at their Regional Swimming Carnival.

There are events in 50m in the 4 strokes for age groups (10 -13 years), as well as 100m events in all four strokes, the 200m Freestyle and 200 Individual Medley for 10-13 years.

There are qualifying times that need to be met in order to proceed to the primary Regional Swimming Carnivals. These times will be sent to all schools and will be advertised on the School Sport ACT website.
