Road Ready Course

ADT 108.

In order to obtain a Learner Driver's Licence in the ACT students should be aware that it is compulsory to successfully complete the ACT 'Road Ready' course. The current system was introduced in August 2000.

Canberra Grammar School runs this course at 3.45 pm on Fridays. The next course in 2018 will begin on 9 March and there will be 3 classes, each of 3 hours. Subsequent classes will be on 16th and 23rd March. The venue will be the ADT Centre. Students who are 15 years 8 months or older and are residents of the ACT will be eligible to apply for enrolment in this course. Places are limited.

The cost for the course will be $75 and there will be no further expense until successful students apply to ACT Road Transport Authority for their Learner's Licence at a minimum of l5 years 9 months.

Students from CGS and CGGS are invited to apply for enrolment by emailing the completed form below to bob.alexander@.cgs.act.edu.au so that I can ensure there is a place for you.

NOTE: - To successfully complete this course, ACT Government legislation requires students to attend all 3 classes, with late arrival and early exit from class not permitted. If you cannot do this, please do not enroll. The last class will include the Learner’s Licence Test.

Students may have the cost of the course charged to their accounts. Confirmation of your placement in the course will be through electronic mail. Students are required to use the email address that includes their school ID number.

If your enrolment form signed by parent or guardian is not received prior to or at the beginning of the 1st class you will not be permitted to attend.

Enrolment Forms will be available on CGS Connect.
