Red Hill Nature Reserve
Bush walking at Red Hill Nature Reserve will contribute to our Unit of Inquiry “Sharing the Planet”.
Bush School will be held on the following dates, weather permitting:
Term 3:
PK Thurs 1 Aug, 15 Aug, 29 Aug, 12 Sep, 26 Sep
Children who have not arrived at the ELC before the group departs must be supervised by their parent/ carer until the class returns.
Please ensure your child wears their CGS uniform, enclosed shoes and long pants for the excursion and has appropriate layers for the weather and temperature expected on the day.
Anticipated number of children attending is 44
Anticipated number of Educators is 4
Anticipated number of parent volunteers is 4+
While on excursions, ratios are maintained at 1:6 for PreKinder and 1:5 for PreSchool.
If you are available to assist on one or more of the walks, please fill in the online acknowledgment form and apply for a WWVP card to assist us https://kb.cgs.act.edu.au/guides/volunteering-at-canberra-grammar-school/ To complete the Volunteer Online Acknowledgment Form you will require a current ACT WWVP.
Grandparents/ Carers who don't have access to CGSConnect are welcome to sign the hard copy form included in the Volunteer General Guidelines and return to reception with a copy of their WWVP card.
