Students are invited to attend the Final Round of the CGS Negotiation Competition.
In the Negotiation Competition, students take on the role as solicitor, negotiating on behalf of their client in a dispute. Students are provided with a background to the dispute and their clients goals, and then participated in a face to face negotiation with the solicitors representing the other party to the dispute. This competition enables students to develop their ability to consider the needs of their client, engage diplomatically and professionally with other parties and introduce them to legal knowledge that will assist them in their further participation in legal competitions and Humanities courses.
Having participated in preliminary rounds, two teams are invited to face off in the final.
