This Year 1 excursion will be focused on the cork forest at the National Arboretum, linking to our current mathematics unit on patterns. We will investigate how the design of plantings at the arboretum support the growth and longevity of the trees. Students will also link with our Unit of Inquiry, How We Express Ourselves, offering students the opportunity to immerse themselves in a natural environment with endless possibilities for creative expression. It is a divine place to explore with a magical feel and we are sure it will be a valuable experience.
Year 1 students from both Campbell Campus and Red Hill Campus will be participating in this excursion.
