An Easter message from Father Andrew Robinson

In some ways, a cross is a strange symbol to put on a sticky fruit bun.

Each year, when Good Friday rolls around, there are often perplexed faces when I explain that this day commemorates the death of Christ. What on earth is ‘good’ about that? It’s because the story of Easter is a story of love – a love that bridges differences bringing forgiveness, a love that shines through even when human beings are at their worst. And it’s also a story of hope: as we look for eggs in the garden on Easter Sunday, we remember Mary Magdalene’s surprise and joy in a garden outside Jerusalem when she met the risen Christ.

This story shapes the deepest values of our School, as we seek to live as a community marked by love, forgiveness, and hope.

Purchase a pack of 6 Hot Cross Buns in a variety of flavours for $8.00 + booking fee. Depending on how many packs we sell $2 from each purchase will go directly to the Anglicare Pantry Appeal to help provide emergency assistance for people facing hardship. Orders will close on Monday 22 March at 9:00am. 

Primary School Students (including ELC and Northside) will receive their Hot Cross Buns between 2:00pm and 3:00pm in allocated areas on Wednesday 31 March

Hot Cross Buns are available for staff to purchase – orders will be distributed to Primary Staff Room and Senior Common Room on Wednesday 31 March at lunchtime.
