Canberra Grammar School will be hosting a Great Book Swap from Wednesday September 6 (Indigenous Literacy Day). The Great Book Swap aims to raise money and awareness for the Indigenous Literacy Foundation, who work to provide culturally appropriate reading material and literacy programs to remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
We are encouraging families to look on your bookshelves at home and find any good quality children or young adult books that you no longer need. These can be donated to Book Swap collection points in the Primary School, Northside and Senior School Libraries up until Tuesday, 5 September 2023.
On the day of the Book Swap, Wednesday, 6 September until Friday, 8 September, students can bring gold coins to School, visit the Book Swap at first break or in scheduled times as organised by their classroom teacher and swap their gold coin for a donated book.
