Bush Animal Making Workshop – Year 1

Southside Studio - Red Hill Campus

A Workshop for Year One students facilitated by Ronnie Jordan from 'Culture on the Move'. Students will explore animal features, investigate the features of living things, and discuss their environment while making traditional woven animal models. The workshop links to the "How the World Works" Unit of Inquiry. Ronnie is a Kalkadoon Pitta Pitta woman. A qualified professional weaver and artist and has delivered weaving and art workshops to government agencies, community groups, schools, events and corporations.

These workshops are a hands-on experience, empowering participants with a sense of connection and the opportunity to learn an age old skill.

Year 1 students from Campbell Campus will travel by bus to Red Hill Campus to join their peers for the workshop.
