Year 4 National Arboretum Excursion

National Arboretum Canberra

As part of the transdisciplinary theme, “How the Word Works”, students in Year 4 have been learning about biomes and biodiversity. They are exploring how living things depend on each other and the environment to survive.

The trees at the Arboretum come from all over the world, and from climates ranging from the desert to the tropics. The guided walk will explore some of the trees planted at the Arboretum, and the various climate zones they are from. We will look at how climate impacts these trees, and the measures taken to ensure they flourish and grow successfully.
