Start: 20 September 2022 – bus departs 9:00 am (arrival at school 8:30am for roll call and final checks)

End: 23 September 2022 – bus arrives 4:00 pm

Year 5 continue their introduction to the outdoor world.  Students develop skills such as teamwork, skiing, bush cooking, and snow shoeing; all while working as a team. This is a two night / three day programme with a focus on developing cooperation, resilience, and responsibility for self, others and the natural world. Students spend nights in cabins, putting into practice the skills gained in previous years.

Educational Outcomes:

• Develop teamwork skills
• Start to develop a specific range of outdoor skills in reference to a snow environment
• Learn how to cook a meal
• Develop strategies for problem solving
• Experience living with their peers away from home working in a team

All students and staff are to bring a water bottle, packed lunch and snacks (nut aware) on the bus for Day 1.
