It’s time to start working with your child to get their Easter hat ready for the Parade on the last day of term! The children should make an Easter hat for the Parade at home. The hat does not need to be an elaborate construction - the children enjoy wearing something that is simple and mostly, their own work. Easter bonnets and hats should be brought to School in the morning of the Easter Hat Parade. They will be carefully stored in classrooms for later in the day.
Dr Webster is also looking forward to joining us at Campbell for this special afternoon. All parents and carers are invited to watch the children parade in their Easter hats in the Northside garden at 2.00pm.
Parents are asked to enter by the side gate in Creswell Street and to sign in and register as detailed in the CGS Primary Newsletter. Depending on the COVID guidelines at this time, the P&F are hoping to serve both children and adults a hot cross bun! Tea and coffee (in lidded disposable cups, for child safety) will also be available for the adult guests.
The Northside P&F Auxiliary is once again running an Easter Egg Guessing Competition. This year, there will be four jars, one for Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, Year 1 and Year 2. Children can make one guess for $2.00 or three guesses for $5.00. The results for all four classes will be announced at the conclusion of the Easter Hat Parade.
We look forward to seeing you in the afternoon of the last day of term.
