Pre-Kindergarten Bush Walking

Pre-Kindergarten and Pre-School classes all engage in a Bush School Program. This involves regular fortnightly walks to and around Red Hill during Terms 2 and 3. The learning during these experiences encompasses all areas, encourages risk assessment, cause and effect, observation of changes in the environment, communication and gross and fine motor development. The learning works in harmony with our philosophy of learning, drawing on the significant benefits of nature pedagogy. In addition, we are supported by local Indigenous People, who support and foster our learning with a focus on Indigenous knowledge, culture and traditions.
