Summer Sports Trials

CGS Ovals and Courts

Basketball

U10 and U12 Basketball trials will take place on Monday and Wednesday in Weeks 8 & 9, Term 3. Students should attend all relevant trials to ensure accurate grading.

Year 3 and Year 4: Monday 1.45pm - 3.00pm and Wednesday 3.30pm - 4.45pm

Year 5 and Year 6 (U12s): Monday and Wednesday from 3.30pm - 4.45pm

Mark off location for after school trials: Outdoor basketball court

Please note that some students in Year 5 and 6 will play U14’s (students born in 2008 and 2007).

The trials for the U14’s have already taken place. Students playing U14’s do not attend the trials listed above. Training for U14’s will commence in Week 1, Term 4.

Touch Football

Trials will take place on Monday and Wednesday in Weeks 8 & 9, Term 3. Students should attend all relevant sessions to ensure accurate grading.

If your child has chosen Touch Football and an alternative CGS summer sport, they are required to attend the alternative sport trials in Weeks 8 and 9 as Touch Football teams will be graded and finalised in Week 10.

Students doing Touch Football and an alternative summer sport will start Touch Football training on Mondays from Week 10. Their alternative sport will have training on Wednesdays.

Year 3 and Year 4: Monday 1.45pm - 3.00pm and Wednesday 3.30pm - 4.45pm

Year 5 and Year 6: Monday and Wednesday from 3.30pm - 4.45pm

Cricket

Trials will take place on Monday and Wednesday in Weeks 8 & 9, Term 3. Students should attend all relevant sessions to ensure accurate grading.

Year 3 and Year 4: Monday 1.45pm - 3.00pm and Wednesday 3.30pm - 4.45pm

Year 5 and Year 6: Monday 3.30pm - 4.45pm and Wednesday 3.30pm – 4.45pm

Mark off location for after school trials: Junior School Cricket Nets

The U13 Cricket Trials will take place on Monday 9 September and Monday 16 September. Students should meet at the Junior School Cricket Nets at 3.30pm for mark off and will be escorted to the Flinders Oval for trials. The U13’s will train in the Senior School. Training days will be advised on CGS Connect in the weeks leading up to the season.

Tennis, Orienteering and Triathlon do not have trials, and begin training in Week 8.
