Year 12 HSC Geography Ecosystems and Global Biodiversity Fieldwork Excursion

Cullendulla Creek, Bateman's Bay, NSW

Students will investigate the Cullendulla Intertidal wetlands, on the South Coast of NSW, as one of our case studies required in the Ecosystem and Global Biodiversity unit. This is one of three major units of work in the HSC Geography course. The study focuses on ecosystems and their functioning. Paramount is the impact of humans on the natural ecosystem and the consequences that have resulted from a variety of management strategies. The fieldwork offers an excellent opportunity to study an intertidal wetland ecosystem and the relationship with the natural and human surrounds.
