Duke of Ed Adventurous Journey Bronze

The Adventurous Journey (AJ) is all about getting out and going on an expedition or exploration in an unfamiliar and challenging environment, with an agreed objective/purpose.

Like every AJ there will be a briefing day for the students on the 2nd of Oct in the OE Office at CGS @ 11am. This is the opportunity to collect gear and familiarize themselves with the outline.

The students attending the trip will meet at the OE Department at CGS @ 7am for a 7:30am departure on the 3rd of Oct.

The transport will be done by CGS bus and hike will start and finish at Pretty Beach. The group will camp the night at either Pebbly or Depot Beach campgrounds on the 3rd.

Activities: Bushwalking, Camping, Navigation, Swimming, Camp stove cooking, Camp Fires, Beach Explore, Canoeing.

Accommodation: Tents

Food: Students are to organize their own cooking groups and provide all their own food for the week.

The group will return to CGS around 4pm on the afternoon of the 4th and after completing the gear check and pack up will be dismissed.
