Activity overview and timings for the day:

9:00am: Departure from Canberra
Meeting Point: Denman village Shops, Felstead Vis, Denman Prospect ACT 2611
Transportation: Private vehicles, carpooling encouraged

9:45am: Arrival at Bendora Arboretum Trailhead
Location: Trailhead carpark off Mt Franklin Road

10:00am - 12:30pm: Bendora Arboretum Walk
Trail Details: Distance: 3.7 km, Approximately 2 - 2.5 hours duration.
Terrain: Management road and formed tracks, mostly flat

Highlights: Explore the Bendora Arboretum, featuring trees planted around 1940. Visit the historic Bendora Hut. Learn from interpretive signage about various tree species and the arboretum’s history. Suitable for families; follow directional arrows through the arboretum.

1:00pm - 1:15pm: Drive to Bulls Head Picnic Area, approximately 5 km from Bendora Arboretum. Road Conditions: Gravel road; drive cautiously and be mindful of other vehicles.

1:15pm - 3:00pm: Picnic Lunch at Bulls Head Picnic Area. Facilities include picnic tables, weatherproof shelter, and toilets.
Lunch is self-catered; families to bring their own food, drinks, and picnic rugs.

3:00pm: Return to Canberra, estimated arrival time 3:30pm.

Important Notes
Supervision: Parental supervision needed at all times during the walk and picnic.

Water bottles (no water available on the trail)

Restrictions
No mobile phone coverage in the area
No dogs allowed
