Primary School Indigenous Literacy Foundation Book Swap

Various

Canberra Grammar School will be hosting a Great Book Swap on Wednesday September 4 (Indigenous Literacy Day). The Great Book Swap aims to raise money and awareness for the Indigenous Literacy Foundation, who work to provide culturally appropriate reading material and literacy programs to remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

We are encouraging families to look on your bookshelves at home and find any good quality children or young adult books that you no longer need. These can be donated to Book Swap collection points in the Primary Library up until Tuesday September 3.

On the day of the Book Swap, Wednesday September 4, students can bring gold coins to school, visit the Book Swap at recess or lunch at various locations around the school (including Northside) and swap their gold coin for a donated book.
