The reason for undertaking the activity: The Early Years Learning Framework identifies making connections with the community as valuable in early childhood.
The proposed activities: The Pre-Kindergarten students are going to walk to Southern Cross Care Campbell to connect with the elderly. In the communal space the students will read picture books, perform songs with the residents and take part in connection games.

While on excursions, ratios are maintained at 1:6 or 1:5 near water, or below at all times.
