Tyronne Bell Pre-School Bushwalk

Red Hill Nature Reserve

Tyronne Bell is a Aboriginal Elder who shares his Culture and experiences with the local community and beyond. He is a proud Ngunawal man and works with people of all ages, to build Cultural understandings. Tyronne has shared many valuable experiences with the students, staff and families of CGS over the years and we are excited to have him visit the ELC.
Bush walking at Red Hill Nature Reserve will contribute to our Unit of Inquiry “Sharing the Planet”.
Bush School will be held on the following dates, weather permitting:
Term 3 Pre-School Bush School:
Tuesday 30 July, 13 August, 27 August, 10 September, 24 September
Children who have not arrived at the ELC before the group departs must be supervised by their parent/ carer until the class returns.
Please ensure your child wears their CGS uniform, enclosed shoes and long pants for the excursion and has appropriate layers for the weather and temperature expected on the day.
Anticipated number of children attending is 44
Anticipated number of Educators is 4
Anticipated number of parent volunteers is 5+
While on excursions, ratios are maintained at 1:5 for Pre-School.
A risk assessment for this activity is available at reception.

Grandparents/ Carers who don't have access to CGS Connect are welcome to sign the hard copy form included in the Volunteer General Guidelines and return to reception with a copy of their WWVP card.
