Students will be participating in Service Learning activities on site at CGS and on Red Hill.

The Service Learning activities for students on Red Hill will include mapping and photographing plants, animals, and insects on Red Hill -https://canberra.naturemapr.org/ mapping and photographing weeds (working with ACT Parks), removing weeds in particularverbascum, removal and collection of waste, and collecting seedlings to create a nursery at CGS for germination and tree growth.

The Service Learning Activities onsite at CGS will include creating QR codes, researching Red Hill, Seed planting, writing up about the project, creating information blurbs for QR codes, recycling rubbish and coordinating soft plastic drives.

Students are encouraged to wear their PE uniform for this event on theseWeek A Friday’s for the remainder of the term.
